Hi! I'm Aaron.
I began my college career as an ecology major, looking to become a research scientist. After spending a couple years doing field and laboratory work, I began veering more and more into quantitative biology and modeling.
Out of sheer curiosity, I started taking courses in pure computer science. I enjoyed these courses so much that I ended up graduating with a B.A. in the subject, after having worked on a swathe of innovative projects. I decided thereafter to specialize computer science and applied to graduate school to do so.
I just graduated with an M.S. in computer science from the University of Southern California. I got to learn a whole lot from a number of industry veterans, and work on some of the coolest projects I've ever been a part of, but nothing's a completely substitute for on-the-ground professional work, which is why I'm trying to get into industry now.
